Asked Questions
What kind of shoes do I need to wear for the class? Do I need shoes?
Generally, we recomment to wear comfy clothes and flat shoes like e.g. Vans. If you don´t have any shoes at all you can also skate without.
I am not staying at KOKUA surfskate house, can I still skate and take lessons at KOKUA?
Yes, you can. All adults are welcome to join a lesson, the open skate hours and surfskate nights.
Do you offer board rental?
Yes, we do. Boards are available to rent during Open Skate hours and Surfskate Nights. Surfskates, skateboards, cruisers. Protection pads, helmets etc. are also available. Take a class with us? Your board’s already included in the course fee. 50% off on rentals for Surfskate Club members.
Can kids skate in the surfskate park?
For now, the surfskate park is an adults-only space.
What is the KOKUA Surfskate Club? How do I sign up as a member?
As a member of the KOKUA Surfskate Club you get access to the surfskate training park and 50% discount on classes offered by KOKUA and board rental. You will be able to skate anytime during opening hours. Season Memberships for the 25/26 season (valid until April 30th, 2026) are available now priced at LKR 60.000. In order to sign up as a member, visit us during opening hours or text us via DM on Instagram. Monthly memberships are also available at LKR 25.000. Locals 50% discount.
Do I need to bring my own equipment for the surfskate classes? What should I wear?
No, you don't. For the surfskate classes at KOKUA we provide you with top quality surfskates and pads to keep you save. Just wear comfy clothes and bring flat shoes like e.g. Vans.
